Launch sale for powerful new photography app “Halide”

Halide ($2.99/£2.99) is a slick photography app that’s just hit the App Store. In the words of the developers, it’s a “groundbreaking camera app for deliberate and thoughtful photography. With high-end tools and beautiful details, Halide is your go-to camera when you want to really take a photo rather than a quick snapshot.”

For those keen photographers happy with the iPhone camera itself but not with the default camera app, this could be the perfect step up. It features full manual controls, a live histogram for exposure tweaking, a powerful manual focus, gridded overlay, “focus peaking,” and more. The gesture-based interface looks to strike a balance between pro features and ease of use, with an “intelligent automatic mode” available if you don’t have time to go fully manual.

Halide is due to increase in price on June 6th, so if you’re interested in upping your photography game then maybe take the plunge sooner rather than later. Until that point, you can download the app for its introductory price of $2.99/£2.99 on the App Store.
