App

Three great apps have gone free over the weekend, and as usual, we’re here to make sure you don’t miss a thing. It’s a broad range of utilities this time – if you want to use your device for more than just the basics we’ve got you covered. Check ’em out!

Plotaverse – was $5/£5, now FREE

Official description: Plotaverse is a one of a kind image animation and social app that brings photos to life. This new and innovative app gives you the tools to easily animate any image in minutes while adding video overlays for next level effects.

We say: This really is a unique app, and we were impressed when it first launched last year under the name Plotagraph+. For more of our thoughts on this creative image editor, see our full review!

iRecorder Pro – was $3/£3, now FREE

Tyme 2 – was $6/£6, now FREE (with IAP)

Official description: Tyme is a simple and effective time tracking tool for anyone who wants to keep an overview of the times they have worked. With Tyme, everything you need is right there. An instant overview of the times you’ve worked, your budget or deadlines.

We say: This one isn’t technically on sale; rather, it’s changed from a pay-up-front system to a freemium model. The plus side is that you can now use it for free, and if you find it genuinely useful you can pay a subscription fee to access a ton of premium features. It’s worth giving the 14-day free trial a go if you need a better way to keep track of work!
