Price drops: three great games currently on sale

We keep an eye on price fluctuations on the App Store every day, but there’s not always much to report in terms of high-quality discounts. Today bucks the trend, though, with three notable games all dropping their prices at the same time.

We’ve got a discount on a great snowboarding game, a completely free helicopter action game, and a chance to play one of the most unique iOS games around for just two bucks. Read on for more…

Please remember that these discounted prices are for a limited time only and could increase at any time. The App Store will always confirm the current price before download. All prices are correct at the time of writing.

Alto’s Adventure – was $5/£5, now $4/£4

Though this classic one-tap snowboarding game has since spawned an impressive sequel, the original still holds up remarkably well. Alto grinds and flips his way through stunning landscapes in this wonderfully atmospheric 2D action game.

Ace Maverick – was $5/£5, then $2/£2, now FREE

If Alto’s snowboarding action has you in the mood for more ice-cold exploits, Ace Maverick has players piloting a helicopter through the arctic, saving the day by, erm, blowing things up. Though not quite as impressive as it was on release back in 2015, this is nevertheless worth a shot while it’s available at no cost.

A Normal Lost Phone – was $3/£3, now $2/£2

This is one of the most unique titles on the App Store, a game about “exploring the intimacy of an unknown person whose phone was found by the player.” You’ll have to prod around a fake smartphone interface, unearthing clues and personal details until a narrative begins to unfold.
