Apple begins its one-day shopping event for Black Friday – free gift cards worth up to $150 available

Apple’s previously teased one-day shopping event is now live for Black Friday.

Despite expectations, Apple has not slashed the price of its products, instead offering free gift cards with product purchases – but not on the latest devices.

The gift cards are available both online and in retail stores but shoppers are limited to two gift cards per product category.

Here’s the gift cards you can get based on US stores:

– $150 ($200 in Canada, £120 in UK) for iMac, Mac Pro, MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro purchases (though the latest 2016 MacBook Pro models are excluded)

– $100 with iPad Pro

– $50 with iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4

– $50 with iPhone 6s and 6s Plus

– $25 wit iPhone SE

– $25 with Apple Watch Series 1 $25

– $25 with Apple TV

Apple’s promotion has or will also be going live in Australia and New Zealand and across various European countries including: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Refurbished and educational purchases are already discounted and aren’t taking part in the promotion.
