So the big day is upon us, with Apple currently making the final preparations ahead of its huge annual September Event. New iPhones are a dead cert, with a new Apple Watch expected and revised iPad Pros a possibility.
The event kicks off today (Sept 12) at 10am in Cupertino, California. That equates to 1pm on the east coast and 6pm in the UK – at the time of writing that’s just a few short hours away.
We’re here to suggest two distinct ways to keep track of all the day’s announcements.
Watch the keynote live
The event will be streamed live on Apple’s website, and if you want to see all the announcements in their full glory there’s no better way than watching the entire thing online.
You can watch on an iPhone or iPad via apple.com/apple-events/september-2018 or go to that same web address on your computer. The stream is only compatible with Safari, though, so if you usually use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox you’ll need to make a change. Similarly, those with Windows PCs can access the stream but only using the Microsoft Edge browser.
If you have an Apple TV, it’s even easier – just search for the Apple Events app in the App Store. It’s a free download and will take you straight into the stream as soon as it’s live.
Whichever method you choose, the full event is likely to last around two hours and will be filled with presentations, promo videos, tech demos, and special guests. Apple is expected to unveil a lot of products today so prepare for a densely packed event!
Do something else with your life
Not everyone wants to sit through a two-hour keynote presentation just to find out if they should buy a new phone or not. If you don’t want to watch the whole thing unfold live, we don’t blame you. Or maybe you’d like to watch it, but you’re too busy – after all, many people will be at work when the show starts.
Your second choice is to ignore the keynote and get on with your life. Chill out, forget about it, and let us do the hard keynote-watching work for you. We’ll be posting a recap right after the event ends to let you know all the biggest reveals, with more detailed analysis of every new product announcement over the next day or two.
So sit back, relax, and make sure you have notifications turned on so we can alert you as soon as the information is available.
