Price drop! Warmlight manual camera goes free

  • by

Warmlight – was $5/£5, now FREE

Most people stick with the default Camera app for taking photos with their iPhone or iPad – but there are plenty of alternatives out there for folks who want a little more from their photographs. Warmlight is the latest manual camera to go completely free on the App store, and it packs in some slick editing features to boot.

The app offers manual control over exposure and focus with a little bit more fidelity than the standard app, and has improved functions for low-light photography too. Our favorite aspects of Warmlight are some of the automated features, though: presets for white balance that can help you get an amazing shot without too much fiddling with technical details, and “intelligent exposure control” that does some of the hard work for you.

Beyond its shooting capabilities, Warmlight offers enough editing prowess that it could become a neat one-stop shop for your photography needs. With dramatic filters, artistic overlays, and slick features like perspective correction, there’s a decent amount covered here.

This is the first time Warmlight has ever been available free, so now’s an excellent time to give it a go if you’ve been hankering for better camera controls.

Bonus price drop: we also noticed Chalkspiration drop to the low price of free recently. It’s not got as much to offer as Warmlight, but can turn your photos and drawings into realistic chalkboard art in a snap. It’s a fun effect we’ve not seen replicated in many other apps!

Please note: this is a temporary sale and the apps may return to full price at any time – to be sure of what you’re paying, always double check the price shown on the App Store before purchasing.
