Apple has expanded its billboard-adorning campaign ‘Shot on iPhone 6’ by including video clips.

Seven 15-second spots have been created and aired for the first time on US TV this week.

The spots, which feature striking imagery, including a seagull soaring over the sea, kids playing cricket in India, and a ladybug, were sourced in a similar way to the photographic imagery used in those massive billboards previously used to showcase the iPhone 6 – by finding real users, often via Flickr.

The message from Apple is that the iPhone has not only all but replaced the standalone digital camera, but that it’s now replaced the camcorder too.
