Siri has been programmed with new phrases related to animated movie Secret Life of Pets signaling the first time Apple’s virtual assistant has been used for commercial promotion of this kind.
Altogether, 15 phrases have been added to Siri’s vocabulary in response to the question: “what do my pets do when I’m not at home?”
Replies include things like “I don’t know, but the cat just asked me about the five day forecast for the living room sunny spot,” and “I don’t know, but the dog just asked me for a walking route to the nearest park.”
Despite this cross-promotion, few noticed the addition, even after Apple’s iTunes Facebook page added a promo (see below.) However, it was eventually picked up by 9to5Mac this week.
