Turning on the Do Not Disturb setting stops any notifications and sounds from apps showing on your iPad. You’ll still receive notifications, but they’re hidden until you unlock your device.
To quickly enable it, open Control Center by sliding up from the bottom of the screen and tap the ☾ icon. If Do Not Disturb is turned on, a crescent moon is shown in the status bar next to the time. Return to Control Center and tap the ☾ icon again to turn it off and you’ll receive notifications like normal.
