More from the App Store – great apps you might have missed [2 September 2022]

Thousands of apps and games are added to the App Store each week, and trawling through them to find the good ones can be difficult. That’s where we come in! We’ve found two new titles in particular that we think are worthy of your attention, as well as a golden oldie that we reckon deserves another mention.

App of the Week

Shuffles by Pinterest [Free]

Shuffles is a new app from idea-sharing social network Pinterest aimed at creating collages of images, text, and visual effects, then setting your efforts to music. It’s been a big hit with Gen-Zers, who have been using Shuffles to create and share snappy aesthetic “moodboards” to the social network of the moment, TikTok. If you want to know what the kids are into right now, or are simply craving a cool new way to throw together some visual ideas, give it a whirl.

Game of the Week

Jacky’s Hidden Items [Free]

A hidden object game with a healthy dose of style and humour, Jacky’s Hidden Items presents you with a series of black and white hand-drawn cartoons from award-winning artist Jacky Jackson. The twist here is that the objects aren’t so much hidden as they are woven into the scenes, rather like those clever illusions that hide things in plain sight, often requiring a partial rewiring of your brain to observe. It’s cute, simple, and fun.
