More from the App Store – great apps you might have missed [27 May 2022]

6Thousands of apps and games are added to the App Store each week, and trawling through them to find the good ones can be difficult. That’s where we come in! We’ve found two new titles in particular that we think are worthy of your attention, as well as a golden oldie that we reckon deserves another mention.

App of the Week

Onvy [Free]

Onvy is described as a “Mindful Health Companion”, which works with your favored fitness tracker to optimise your physical wellbeing. Not only does it monitor your biomarkers like other health apps, but it also uses AI algorithms to offers deeper insights into things like habits, recovery, sleep, mindfulness, and stress management. It looks nice and stylish, too.

Game of the Week

Guroku Rainbow [Free]

This sharp, simple block-sliding puzzler sees you flicking rainbow-hued stones around circuit diagram-like levels, seeking to lock them in place through clever manipulation. Before long, special-function blocks are introduced into the equation. You know the score. There’s nothing particularly new to the gameplay that we can see so far, but we dig the clean visual style and slick, old-school puzzling action.

Microsoft Office [Free]

Many of us will have used Microsoft Office extensively throughout our educational and working lives. Word, Excel, and Powerpoint have become synonymous with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations. This Microsoft Office app for iOS combines all three into one easy UI, enabling you to scan PDF files, create spreadsheets, draft documents and more from your phone. Collaboration and cloud connectivity are to the fore as well.
