Three great apps have gone free over the weekend, and as usual, we’re here to make sure you don’t miss a thing. It’s a broad range of utilities this time – if you want to use your device for more than just the basics we’ve got you covered. Check ’em out!
Please remember that these discounted prices are for a limited time only and could increase at any time. The App Store will always confirm the current price before download.
PodCruncher – was $5/£5, now FREE
There’s a whole world of great podcast apps beyond Apple’s free Podcasts. Unfortunately, none of the good ones are free – until now. PodCruncher is a solid app for discovering, downloading, streaming, and listening to podcasts. It can auto-download new episodes, it gives you multiple playback speeds, and it lets you easily organize your collection of favorites. Definitely worth grabbing if you don’t yet have a go-to podcast app.
Scelta – was $4/£4, now FREE
Look, we’re not saying you need to lose weight. But if you want to give it a go, Scelta is a great way to keep track of your progress. This app understands that body weight fluctuates daily, so rather than worrying about short-term measurements it instead gives you a 14-day average and encourages you to start a positive downward trend. There’s tons of useful analysis, and you can “level up” by meeting your goals. It’s a great way to get in shape.
Home Budget Plan Pro – was $2/£2, now FREE
This app will help you log your income and outgoings each month, to get a better handle on where your money is going – and where you’d like it to go! It will analyze your monthly expenditure, let you know if you’re overspending and help you decide where to cut back. Nobody gets actively excited about budgets, but this is a genuinely very useful app. If you’ve been putting off sorting out your finances, now’s the time to strike – while this app is free!
