Tinybop’s excellent kids app “The Robot Factory” is currently free
Tinybop are known for making fun and smart apps for kids, and this one is no different. Though designed to test the creative building skills of 6+ year olds, this is a slick robot-designing sim that we think almost anyone could have fun with. Here’s the App Store description:
“Create robots. Test robots. Collect robots. Build with exoskeletons, zephyr mechanisms, hydrostatic tentacles, machinos locomotors, G-Force mixers, and more! Make any robot you can imagine! Robot cats. Robot samurais. Robot spies.”
Apple has decided to reward Tinybop’s effort by choosing it as the first “free app of the week” for June, and we think it’s worth a pop – especially if you have kids. This is a universal app that works across iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and even the Apple TV. Go on. Make some robots.
