A new fast paced puzzler wants you to put your fingers to good use
Bob may look like a normal fisherman; the beanie hat, plaid shirt, and requisite beard, but underneath all of these atypicalities, Bob has lost his fingers. How did this happen? Well, it was those pesky jellies, and now it’s up to you to catch them. To do this you must drag your finger on the screen from one jelly to another of a corresponding color, they will then disappear and you’ll gain some points.
The first finger is just up there at level one
This might all sound very simple but the developers have included some bells and whistles to keep it interesting.
For example, you’re up against the clock while aiming for that high score, and instead of static jellies, they float around on-screen so that it’s harder to catch them. If you get the chance then you can try and connect two, three, or more at one time, but with so many Jellies floating around on screen it can be confusing – of course, that’s part of the challenge!
Power-up!
Use the power-ups to get a higher score
The game also comes with some power-ups to help you out. One slows down time, another makes a jelly explode, while the last one recreates a Fruit Ninja-style mini game where you have to swipe the screen as fast as possible.
Of course, these added powers aren’t unlimited and you have to spend in-game coins to purchase more. If you haven’t got enough coins earned then you can always use some real-life cash. Thankfully these power-ups aren’t necessary and are more of a bonus to have and you generally get enough through constant playing.
Unlike most action-puzzle games, each time you play you are rewarded with experience points. The more of these you collect the further up the levels you progress and with every milestone you slowly reclaim Bob’s fingers. This is a nice little mechanic to keep you playing whereas traditional puzzle games can feel stale after several tries.

The design of this app is reminiscent of other popular apps including the five-star rated Threes!, Dots Two, and Ridiculous Fishing, and is filled with the same exuberance and joy from those games.
Jellies! is not overly complicated but offers just enough challenge to keep you interested. You can play for a few minutes here and there or try to make your way through as many levels as possible. It’s fun and frantic and best of all, having too much won’t make you sick!
