Apple Watch S7 – leaked renders suggest smart redesign

A leak from analyst Jon Prosser claims that Apple has a facelift planned for its next-generation Apple Watch.

Apple’s smartwatch – currently the most popular watch in the world – hasn’t changed much since its introduction back in 2015. But according to these allegedly-accurate renders, there’s a redesign in the works for this year’s upgrade.

As you can see from the renders, Apple Watch Series 7 will reportedly sport flatter edges – like the iPhone 12 – and a new suite of colors, perhaps to match the new M1 iMac. And we’re not talking about band colors, but the color of the actual metal on the body of the watch. The display will also be flat, with smaller bezels – unlike the current model which curves at the edges.

Aside from the redesign, it’s been rumored that the next Apple Watch will feature an optical blood glucose sensor, further cementing Apple’s interest in changing how personal healthcare works.

Jon Prossers is one of the best-known Apple analysts with a pretty good track record. You can watch his full leak reveal as part of his Front Page Tech news report. But as ever, until we see an official unveiling from Apple, take news like this with a grain of salt.
