Apple is offering free Beats wireless headphones as part of a “back to school” sale from now until late September, available to students and teachers.
The headphones will be available with any “eligible” iPad or Mac purchase. That boils down to any of the current MacBook lineup, or any of Apple’s high-end iPad Pro models. Beats-branded headphones are usually pretty pricey, making this an excellent time to grab an iPad or Mac. Participants will get a choice of three models of Beats: Solo3 (usually $300,) Powerbeats 3, or Beats X.
The deal applies to “current and newly accepted college students and their parents, as well as faculty, staff, and homeschool teachers of all grade levels.” Customers will have to prove eligibility to Apple, with special Education pricing also available – which can knock even more off the final price tag. If you or anyone you know fits the bill it’s probably worth telling them about this offer, which is available now and runs until September 25th. Unfortunately, this particular scheme is only running in the US, although similar Education discounts are available around the world. We’d expect the UK to get its own version of the “back to school” sale later this Summer.
