Broken iPhone 6s? Apple may fix it for free

Apple has started up a new repair program to focus on a specific issue that’s been cropping up in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

If you have one of those devices and it’s no longer powering on properly, you could be in the running for a free repair.

Those iPhone models have been discontinued for a little while now, but a great many people still use them. If you still have one and thought it had breathed its final breath, you might be in luck – though it depends on the exact reason for the breakage.

Apple is offering free repairs for iPhones hit with a specific component failure – and there a few other regional limitations, too.

Luckily, it’s pretty easy to find out if you’re eligible. Simply visit Apple’s service program website and submit your device’s serial number, or speak to Apple Support directly.
