iOS 11 on iPad: video series promotes new features

Ahead of the launch of iOS 11, Apple has just released a series of six minute-long promotional videos to explain how the big new features coming to the iPad work. It’s a really good insight into what to expect from iOS 11, and though it’s mainly focused on iPad some of these new capabilities will also be present on the iPhone.

Included in the video set are details on the new iPad dock, the new Files app, multitasking, document scanning, markup, and drag-and-drop.

Though a couple of these are specific to the iPad Pro and its Apple Pencil accessory, similar functions will be available to users of the iPhone and the regular iPad.

It’s interesting to see Apple publicly show off these new features prior to its big event next month; we’ll take it as a sign that there won’t be any time for iPad news in amongst all the exciting iPhone reveals. We expect iOS 11 to be released publicly sometime in September.
