New MacBook Pro currently available $100 off from Amazon

  • by

Apple’s latest MacBook Pro has split opinion since its recent launch – the laptop has drawn praise for its design and performance, but raised eyebrows for its high price and exclusive use of USB-C ports. Meanwhile the new Touch Bar is a cool addition with some time-saving potential, but it costs an additional premium and the general consensus is that it doesn’t add enough value to the device just yet.

Lucky then, that Apple also released a brand new 13-inch MacBook Pro without a Touch Bar. Not only is this model decidedly cheaper than the Touch Bar versions, but retail giant Amazon has just knocked a massive $100 off its retail price, dropping from $1,499 to $1,399. UK customers stand to save even more, with the new MacBook Pro currently offered at a saving of £150. That’s £1,299 instead of £1,449.

It’s unusual for a new Apple device to get a big discount so early in its lifespan – it was only launched last month – and it’s not clear whether this is a permanent discount or a flash sale in the build-up to Black Friday. If you’re in the market for a new computer, act fast!

Meanwhile, if you’re not too bothered about getting the very latest technology – or prefer the old design – last year’s MacBook Pro is also heavily discounted on Amazon at the moment and still holds up as an excellent machine. If your old computer needs replacing, or you just fancy treating yourself for Christmas, tap the links below to grab any of these deals.
