The Beatles coming to Apple Music in time for Christmas

  • by

The most successful band of all time has long avoided the music streaming game, but for fans of the Beatles, Christmas has come early.

From December 24, the full back catalog of the Beatles will be available to stream on Apple Music. It won’t give Apple any advantage over the opposition, though, as Spotify and most other music streaming rivals will be getting the rights too. It looks like only Pandora has missed out on nabbing access to the Fab Four. Nevertheless, it’s good news for music fans, filling a big hole in an otherwise impressive music catalog.

Unlike other big artists who have U-turned their position on streaming – like Taylor Swift – the Beatles will be available to stream on services with a free tier as well as a paid subscription.

If you use Apple Music, you’ll be able to stream the Beatles from midnight on Christmas Eve. Meaning you can delight the family over the holidays by playing the Liverpool band’s oft-forgotten Christmas song.
