Latest issue of Swipe: Video Editing

Hello, readers! We’ve just released a new issue of our sister app, Swipe – the iPhone Magazine.

As I’m sure you’ve deduced from the front cover, this issue we’re taking a good look into video editing. Not long ago you’d need a media degree and a fancy editing suite to cut your own movies together, but these days you can shoot and edit 4K video straight from your iPhone. Head to the Reviews section for a look at our favorite apps for doing just that.

After the roundup, we’ve got some full app reviews for you as usual. Following the editing theme but switching to photos, three of our four reviews this week focus on apps that edit or manipulate your photo library.

In the Features section, you’ll see we’ve been talking to app developers again – this time to find out what they’d like to see from future versions of iOS. It’s interesting to see where these experts expect Apple to go next, and how they see the platform changing over time.

We’ve also got a short rant from yours truly about Memoji as a secondary feature this issue. I take a look at why Apple is hiding one of its freshest new features away in an obscure submenu instead of making it easy to find and show off to your friends.

We’re continuing our iOS 12 preview season in How-To with a look into Screen Time, while the News section is worth a look if you want to know when we expect this year’s new iPhones and iPads to launch.
