Latest issue of Swipe: 8 New Devices

We’ve just published the latest issue of our sister app, Swipe Magazine. It’s full of the same kind of tips and features you’ll find here, packaged neatly into fortnightly issues. There are dozens of back issues available and you can trial it completely free if you want a new way to get to know your iPhone!

Editor’s Notes

Apple this week dropped EIGHT new devices at its biggest event of the year. We got four variations of iPhone 14, three new Apple Watches, and the second-generation AirPods Pro.

If you missed the launch, want a bit more detail, or are struggling to differentiate between all the new models, head to our News section. This issue is a new product special, where we outline everything you need to know about all that new tech, with some guides on the key differences too.

After that, flick over to our Reviews section for a follow-up to last issue’s “completely free games” roundup. You guessed it: completely free apps! This is our pick of the very best stuff on the App Store with no up-front cost, no in-app purchases, and no subscriptions.

We were half expecting Apple to unveil a new subscription service or two at its event, but with nothing of the sort to be seen, instead read our main Features article for our take on the sort of services Apple could add to its Apple One roster in the future.

Finally, in the How-To section, you’ll find the culmination of our Summer-long dive into all the best new features of iOS 16, which will finally be released to the public on September 12.
