A few years ago we launched Tips Premium, a subscription service for readers looking to get even more from their Apple devices. How to redeem
It’s easy! From the list below, tap on the app you’re currently using to confirm the discount via the App Store. You can then return here to enjoy your new perks and freebies from the Premium tab of the app. (If you get a blank screen, press Share > Open in Safari to fix it).
Tips & Tricks Pro – for iPhone
If you’re not sure which app you have, inspect the icon on your Home Screen. The iPhone versions have a white ‘notch’ at the top, while the Pro variants – you guessed it – say ‘Pro’.
We know it’s a bit confusing that we have four apps – it’s a hangover from a time before universal apps were the norm. We’ve been around that long! But no matter which version of the app you’re using, the Tips Premium content is identical and you’re eligible for the same discount.
Due to how App Store promotions work, you’ll need to make sure you tap on the correct link above. Rest assured if you make a mistake or change your mind you can simply back out without accepting the offer.

Adverts are a huge part of how we keep our core content free for all users – but as a subscriber, you won’t see ads in the app, ever.

Early Access iOS Updates
You might think that turning on Automatic Updates means you’ll always have the latest software installed, but it’s a little-known fact that Apple staggers iOS updates over days or even weeks. Only a tiny subset of users actually get those updates on the day of release, with Apple exec Craig Federighi confirming that auto-update can take up to four weeks to install each new release.
Considering how critical it is to have the latest security patches, we’re not fans of that system – iOS updates should be installed ASAP. So if you’re keen to be the first in line for new features and safety fixes, be sure to enable notifications so we can alert you to the latest iOS updates as soon as they’re available. No more waiting around for Apple’s auto-update to kick in!
