Welcome to #353: A note from the editor

This issue’s cover story is a big one: leaks suggest Apple is testing a “liquid glass” iPhone 19 Pro that takes the divisive iOS design language and applies it to the hardware itself. Wild stuff – and iPhone 18 isn’t even out yet. Head to the News section for more, including Apple fraud stories and the latest Shot on iPhone endeavour.

Elsewhere, we’re gearing up for a big Summer of fun, with a packed travel toolkit to help you make the most of your holidays. We’ve also got opinion pieces on the iPhone’s Action Button and how Apple could fix Liquid Glass with iOS 27 – plus movies, music, mail, and more.

One more thing – this will be our final fortnightly issue of Swipe. We’re currently rolling out a big app update that brings this decade-old magazine firmly into the modern era, and we’re using that as the moment to switch to a monthly release model, with issues dropping on the second Friday of each month. Don’t worry though – it’s the same writing team, the same content, just bundled up monthly from June onwards. That means each issue will be jam-packed with more articles than ever, plus a few experimental new features in the mix. And to make sure you don’t miss anything between issues, we’ll be keeping the News tab updated with everything worth knowing. See you in June!
