Welcome to #354: A note from the editor

Welcome, readers, to the first ever monthly issue of Swipe. After ten years of fortnightly releases, we’re slowing down the cycle – but rest assured we’re not slowing down the content itself. It’s t same writing team and same expert insight you’ve come to expect over the past ten years of Swipe.

In fact, we’ve got a bumper issue for you to dive into this time. As I type this, WWDC has just wrapped up, with plenty to dissect from Apple’s big developer conference – including iOS 27 and a super-powered new Siri. There’s a lot to talk about. You’ll find everything you need to know in the News section, and everything we think about it in Features.

Of course, the other big news this week has been the start of the World Cup, hosted in North America for the first time in 32 years. If you’ve been hit with football fever (or, uh, soccer sickness), check out our guides to watching and enjoying the tournament – and kicking back with some footy games in between.

As ever, there’s lots more to dig into beyond the big stories, so swipe on and enjoy.
