Agree is a new app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac that makes it easy to create quick, simple polls. Whether it’s voting on your weekend plans or choosing your Friday night takeaway, Agree takes the pain out of composing and sharing polls on your device or computer.
To create a poll of your own, download the free Agree app from the App Store, launch the app on your device and tap the + button in the top-right corner of the screen. Then, give your poll a title and subtitle before inputting options for respondents to consider.
When you have your poll set up and ready to go, you need to share it. Tap the people icon in the top-right corner and choose how you’d like to send the poll – options include Messages, Mail, or a third-party app of your choice. The catch, however, is that Agree is only available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and respondents will need to download the app to, well, respond. This means you can only send polls to friends and family in the Apple-verse.
It’s also worth noting that the app can be a little buggy, with occasional crashes when sharing polls – but we expect to see this bug squashed soon. Gripes aside, in the right circumstance this can still be a useful little app.
If you’re in a hurry, you can set a time limit for polls in the app, and as responses come in you’ll be able to see what people have voted for. You’ll notice that the design of Agree adopts a minimal aesthetic which works well on iOS and iPadOS. While it might not offer the complexity of alternatives like Doodle, Agree cuts away the corporate fat of that service. It’s great for sending out quick, simple polls with no ads and no sign-ups.
It’s also great that Agree is ad-free, although you’ll need to pay $3 / £3 to unlock the app’s full potential. An in-app purchase will let you add unlimited options to polls – the free version of Agree limits this to just three. The purchase also adds themes, tints, and alternative app icons.
Download Agree now and let democracy rule on your device.
