Who are you?

TapSmart is a small UK-based team that’s been helping people get more from their Apple devices for over a decade. Our Tips & Tricks apps have more than 10 million downloads and several App Store awards, and our writing team has contributed to WIRED, TechRadar, and many more. Our goal is simple – teach you genuinely useful iPhone and iPad tricks, whether you’re looking to be more productive or just impress your friends.

What is Tips Pro?

Tips Pro is our membership that unlocks everything the app has to offer. Subscribers get an ad-free experience with no locked articles, full access to our entire archive of tips, reviews, and features, plus exclusive new content every week. You’ll also get early access to our Tip of the Day, the ability to save unlimited favorites, and our early iOS update alerts.

What are early iOS update alerts?

Apple doesn’t announce iOS updates in advance – and even with Automatic Updates enabled, there’s no guarantee your device will receive it quickly. Rollouts are staggered over days or weeks, and various conditions have to be met before a download triggers. Our update alerts let you know the moment a new iOS version is available, so you can install it straight away rather than waiting for Apple to push it to you.

Legacy customers

I bought one of your previous Tips & Tricks apps, do I have to pay again?

For many years we offered four near-identical apps covering different device and pricing tiers – which was actually standard practice when we first launched! Today, we have a single universal app that covers everything. We’re keeping the legacy apps around to honour those purchases for now – they may look a little dated, but you’ll still receive the same new content. We’re working on a migration path so those users can move to the new app without being charged again. Watch this space.

Troubleshooting

My Pro features aren’t showing after payment, what do I do?

Try closing and reopening the app, then tap Restore on the upgrade screen. You can also go to Settings > Manage in Settings to confirm the purchase went through successfully via the App Store. If you’re still having trouble, get in touch via the Contact Us button in Settings.

How do I restore a previous purchase?

If you’ve reinstated Tips Pro on a new device or after reinstalling the app, tap Restore Purchase on the upgrade screen. Make sure you’re signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

How do I cancel my Tips Pro subscription?

You can cancel at any time via the App Store. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad, find Tips & Tricks, and tap Cancel Subscription. You’ll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I request a refund?

All purchases are processed by Apple, so refund requests need to go through them directly. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the relevant purchase, and submit a refund request. Apple typically responds within a few days.
