Music playback can be controlled, even if the screen is locked – simply press the Home button once to reveal the controls.
Pause, skip, increase volume, and see more details about the song at the top of the screen – even when it’s locked.
Pressing the Home button again will reveal the time and date if that’s what you wanted to see.
Automatic pause
If you’re listening to music with headphones and you pull the jack out of the iPad, the device will automatically pause playback without requiring you to interact with the screen.
