On the iPad, a Favorites bar can be enabled for quicker access to web pages that have been added to the Favorites folder in Bookmarks. By default, these pages can only be seen when you tap the address bar. To make the sites visible at all times, open the Settings app, select Safari and turn on the Favorites Bar option. The bar is then shown at the top.
