iOS 9: Checking your iCloud storage limits on iPad

A backup of all your apps and settings can also be created within iCloud, in case something goes wrong.

By default, Apple gives you 5GB of storage space for free. If you receive a warning saying you’ve not enough storage in iCloud, you can control which apps are backed up.

Open Settings, iCloud, then Storage. This shows how much space is available. Tap Manage Storage and then the device being used. This shows which apps take up the most room in your iCloud backup and from here you can pick which items to save in case of disaster. Turn off apps that don’t need to be backed up.
