iOS 9: How to turn off Control Center on iPad

Control Center is handy to access frequently used options, but it can sometimes open accidentally while using apps or be used to turn off important options.

To limit when it’s available, open the Settings app and select Control Center. From here turn off Access Within Apps, however, you’ll still be able to open Control Center from the Home screen.

Control Center is also available from the Lock screen – however, it has the option to enable Airplane Mode, which a thief could turn on to quickly hide the location of your device. Turn off Access on Lock Screen and the device will need to be unlocked to use Control Center.
