iPhone X availability: shipping estimates improve to just a week

iPhone X has been in short supply ever since its launch around a month ago, with many analysts suggesting Apple wouldn’t be able to catch up with demand until 2018.

However, manufacturing of the device seems to finally be going smoothly as the shipping estimates are down to their lowest since pre-orders first opened. Order an iPhone X today and you’ll receive it a week later.

This is good news for those keen to get their hands on iPhone X in time for Christmas – the previous estimates were touch and go for the festive season but the new estimates give plenty of time.

Meanwhile, Apple has delayed its upcoming HomePod until the first half of next year, meaning the smart speaker will miss the all-important Christmas market.

Note that the one-week lead time is for the US only, and shipping times will vary around the world. Availability has also improved in the UK, which is currently showing a ten-day wait for iPhone X delivery.
