Apple’s editors have delved into the streaming service Netflix, picking out some of its lesser known features and settings. Netflix has grown into one of the biggest companies in the world, and if you use the app on your iPhone or iPad it’s definitely worth learning how to get the most from it.
You can read the original article on the App Store, or for a quick overview, we’ve summarized the tips below.
1. Make everything look as good as possible by going to App Settings > Video Quality and selecting Higher. You’ll need a speedy Wi-Fi connection to make the most of this, but it’ll look amazing. Especially on an iPhone X or iPad Pro.
2. See who else has been using your subscription from Account > Recent device streaming activity. If a friend or an ex is using your account a little too much, choose Account > Sign out of all devices > Sign Out and then change your password!
3. Take a look at your viewing history to see just how quickly you binge-watched your favorite shows, from Account > Viewing Activity. Seeing how many hours of your life have been wasted watching Stranger Things might even convince you to go outside a bit more!
4. If you have kids, you can create a specific child-friendly profile that only allows access to certain content. From the Netflix home screen, press More > Add profile and be sure to switch on For Children.
