It’s easy to preview links people send you in Messages using 3D Touch. This means that you no longer have to tap through to a link to find out what page you’ll land on, and saves you from switching between apps during a conversation.
Deep press and hold on any of the links on the page, and a preview will load. This often gives you everything you need to know, without leaving the Messages app.
If you decide to read it, deep press again to pop into the link fully – this will open Safari if it’s a web link, or another app depending on the content. Or, swipe upwards to reveal a menu of additional options, such as Add to Reading List.
Alternatively, lift up your finger and the preview will close, taking you back to where you started.
