One of our favorite podcast players, Castro, is currently on sale for a limited time at its lowest price ever. If you’re still using the stock iOS Podcasts app (or are new to podcasts in general,) now’s your chance to get a premium podcast service on the cheap.
Castro uses a triage-style inbox system to organize new episodes, which can then be discarded or added to your play queue. Once you’ve discovered and subscribed to a few shows, it’s a great way to keep track of the latest episodes without feeling overwhelmed. If you’re not sure where to start, the discovery tab can give you some good ideas of shows to listen to in various genres.
We reviewed Castro last year and were broadly impressed, with the app updating since to address many of our complaints (which were minor, anyway.) It looks like this discount will only be for a relatively short time, so if you’re interested in improving your podcasting experience grab it sooner rather than later!
