Thousands of apps and games are added to the App Store each week, and trawling through them to find the good ones can be difficult. That’s where we come in! We’ve noticed a landslide of interesting games over the last week; read on for our cream of the crop.
ELOH [$2/£2]
A chilled out puzzle game from the creators of Old Man’s Journey (see our review), ELOH is all about rhythm. Work through 85 levels of relaxed solving in time to the music.
Badland Brawl [Free]
From the creators of BADLAND and BADLAND 2 (see our review) comes a new brawler in which you’ll be battling real people from around the world in Angry Birds-esque slingshot combat.
Super Cat Tales 2 [Free]
An inventive and joyful platform game in the vein of classics like Super Mario. The first in the series was good, and this one’s even better – as deep and explorative as it is adorable. The full game is unlocked via a $5/£5 IAP.
Piffle [Free]
Still hankering for more cats? Ok then. Piffle is an addictive, colorful, arcade-style block-breaker… with cats. A charming storyline unfolds between levels, and it comes from the guys who made App Store smash Crossy Road.
Civilization VI [Free]
We wrote about this in more detail earlier in the week, but it’s worth mentioning again. This is a full-fledged PC game you could sink hundreds of hours into, somehow squashed down so it works flawlessly on iPhone and iPad. Wow.
