Best new apps and games – March 25, 2017

Lots of interesting things in the App Store this week, from an app to spruce up your iPhone to an app to help teach your kids French. Plus there were some really great games released this week, and an old favorite utility that’s just been given a new shot in the arm courtesy of Apple itself… read on for more details about our favorites from the last seven days!

Card Thief

Price: $1.99/£1.99  • Version: 1.0 • Size: 140 MB

The follow-up to the excellent solitaire-based Card Crawl (see our review), this is another take on solo card gaming. Card Thief again takes a deck of cards but this time applies it to stealth gaming. Sneak around stealing treasures without getting caught in this accessible yet highly strategic and addictive game. It takes a few rounds to get to grips with the rules but when it clicks it’s very satisfying!
