Fan of stand-up comedy? Then Laugh.ly is a new app you should definitely check out. Launched just last week, the app is the first dedicated to streaming standup comedy.
Though calling it the Spotify for comedy might be a little lazy, that’s absolutely what it is. The app’s interface is well-designed and smooth, featuring various familiar segments, like trending acts, top albums, and also channels – which could include categories like urban comics, alternative comics, female, music-based, classic, and other collections.
The app lets you stream all these acts’ standup albums for free – and it features some key names. Here’s a list of some of the most popular acts currently streaming:
- Kevin Hart
- Louis CK
- Sarah Silverman
- Chris Hardwick
- George Carlin
- Aziz Ansari
- Amy Schumer
In fact, the app’s launched with over 400 comedians. It currently operates on an ad-supported free tier – so you can get listening right away – or, to remove ads and enable profanity filtering (great if you have kids in the car), you can sign up for $3.99 per month.
