Check out these iOS games with 50 percent off in Apple’s ‘Pay Once and Play’ sale

In-app purchases may have steadily become a fact of life as many developers find ad revenue can far exceed sales, but that hasn’t stopped numerous studios releasing some phenomenally designed and put together games. There’s practically no denying that overall, playing a game where you pay once up front is a vastly more rewarding experience than downloading an app for free and finding yourself consistently bombarded with ads or offers of using real-world money to buy in-game currency.

Despite helplessly contributing to the rise of the freemium mobile games model, Apple no doubt respects and wants pay once titles to succeed. It gives awards to well-designed games each year, no doubt giving these titles a well needed and deserved bump, but it also uses the App Store to showcase these kinds of titles – often offering many up at sale prices.

This is what Apple’s decided to do this week. Some may have noticed the Pay Once and Play sale currently in the App Store where many great, award-winning titles from the last year or two have been pulled together and offered at prices at least 50 percent lower than the regular price.

So if you wanted a guaranteed slice of iPhone or iPad gaming fun, check out the following titles – all currently on sale.
