10.9-inch iPad Pro to arrive next year, will be almost bezel-free

According to reports, the oft-rumored 10.9-inch iPad Pro is coming next year. If the Japanese website Macotakara is to believed.

If the report is reliable, the device won’t be much larger than the present 9.7-inch model. It will instead gain screen real estate by removing the Home button. The result will be reduction of the bezel surrounding the bottom edge of the screen.

The removal of the Home button also lines up with the rumor of its absence on the next iPhone. However, a previous report on DigiTimes suggests it might ship in the first quarter of 2017.

Other dimensions include the depth – which at 7.5mm is thicker than the 9.7-inch’s 6.1mm. Though it is the same depth as the first iPad Air.

Rumors on new Apple products often arrive faster as we head into the new year. Often these will be from far-Eastern countries due to proximity to Apple’s production sources.
