Apple releases iOS 9.3.3 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

Apple has released an iterative update to its iOS 9 software. iOS 9.3.3 arrives ahead of iOS 10 in September and contains a general round of improvements and bug fixes.

It’s far from a major release and contains nothing in the way of new features, but the aim is to boost performance through minor tweaks.

To install iOS 9.3.3, head to Settings General Software Update and then tap download and install. Once you’ve verified the update, your device will begin the install.

iOS 9.3.3 is available for the iPhone 4s and later, iPod touch (5th generation) and later, and the iPad 2 and later.

The last iOS 9 release to include any significant additions was iOS 9.3 back in March which added Night Shift mode.

Later in the year, iOS will gain significant new features in iOS 10. Expected in September, the update will include a raise to wake feature, a redesigned Today view, and a big Messages app update.
