Google’s Gmail app for iOS updates – adds undo send feature + more

Do you use Gmail? Considering Google’s Mail service works with virtually any email app on iOS, Apple’s own Mail app included, it wouldn’t be surprising that even if you do have an @gmail.com address, you don’t use Google’s own mail app.

But with a brand new update to the Gmail for iOS app that might be about to change – Google’s added some quite brilliant new features, lacking from many other email programmes.

Here’s what’s new in Gmail 5.0.3 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch:

– Undo Send feature – accidentally hit send? Changed your mind about what you said? If the recipient hasn’t open the email yet, you can call it back. This feature already exists on the desktop version of Gmail, so it’s good to see it take the leap.

– Improved search – includes instant results and spelling suggestions to help you find emails, attachments and contacts.

– A new swipe to archive or delete feature for faster deletion or archiving.

– A new design which is intended to be faster, and have sleeker transitions.

Gmail for iOS is available for free on the App Store now.
