Images showing off the iPhone 6 display have been leaked online. Posted to apple.club.tw, the images show the front of the display, which is believed to be 4.7-inches diagonally.
A 4.7 inch device has long been rumored and these shots seem to confirm the larger screen. The images show both the white and black models with both still having quite wide areas at the top and bottom. These will fit the Home button and front facing camera in while still keeping the iconic iPhone look.
The images also shows off some of the cabling and includes the actual display unit that will make up the screen. Previous leaks have shown the new sapphire crystal panel and empty back case of the next iPhone.
The rumor mill is also now settling on a possible September 9 announcement, Apple and it’s partners are likely to be ramping up production to ensure enough supply on launch date. A possible 5.5-inch model has also been suggested but there’s been less leaked images of these adding credence to the idea that it may be delayed.
Apple is likely moving to a bigger screen to combat the popularity of the larger devices from Samsung and HTC. These devices are especially popular in developing countries such as China where they are often used to watch TV and play games.
