To make this possible, the folks behind Treeapp have partnered with major businesses and organizations that want to share and promote sustainable products and services. Treeapp advertises these services to users, who are asked a handful of simple questions about what they’ve seen. To reward you for your time, you’re allowed to plant a tree at a tree-planting project of your choosing.

And there are plenty to choose – from the Scottish highlands to coastal Madagascar.

To get up and running, download the free Treeapp on your iPhone or iPad, launch it, and sign up. You’ll need an email address and a valid phone number to verify your identity.

Treeapp also asks for you to approximate your location by selecting a local region. This is so it can deliver appropriate ads and questions as part of its mini-questionnaires. To get the most out of the app, choose a region that is most appropriate for you.

Your first set of questions.

After that, the tree-planting can begin. Different projects exist in Treeapp and you can unlock more as you plant more trees. The first available project is in Madagascar and your first tree is sponsored by the folks behind Treeapp.

Tap the green Madagascar project, choose to plant a tree, answer the short questions, and hey presto: you’re done!

On the Madagascar project page, you can see why it’s so important to support tree-planting projects in that region. Information on carbon-capture and the positive impact which tree-planting has on local wildlife is available to read through, alongside some gorgeous pictures.

Your impact.

While there are plenty of projects to support, these are unlocked as you plant more trees in Treeapp. So it’s important to return to the app once a day to answer more questions and plant more trees. To help you out, Treeapp can send a notification to remind you to do your bit for the environment each day.

Other projects.

The whole process couldn’t be simpler, from start to finish. So download the free Treeapp now and start answering short questions to plant trees. How many projects can you unlock?
