Enlight – was $4/£4, then $2/£2, now FREE
Enlight has long been a home screen staple for us since its launch three years ago – we gave it a near-perfect review – and for the first time ever you can grab the all-in-one photo editing app completely free.
The reason for the price drop is obvious: developers Lightricks have since released a sequel, Enlight Photofox, which makes this earlier iteration somewhat out-of-date.
However, although Photofox has a fancy redesign and a few new features up its sleeve, it also charges a subscription fee to access the best bits. Worth it if you do a lot of editing on your device, perhaps, but the original Enlight still holds up incredibly well and won’t cost you a penny.
There’s not a lot Enlight can’t do – it would be worth grabbing for the filters alone, but more ambitious folk will find a lot to explore here amongst its image merging functions, slick adjustments, and arty paint effects.
In fact, why not check out our own step-by-step guide to combining two images using the mixer tool?
We’ve no idea if this is a permanent reduction or a temporary one, so if you’re at all interested act fact to make sure you don’t miss out on a great freebie.
