Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine trailer released

From Ashton Kutcher’s turn as the former CEO in 2013’s Jobs, to the forthcoming Steve Jobs, directed by Danny Boyle, penned by Aaron Sorkin and starring Michael Fassbender and Seth Rogen, those wanting to make a film about Jobs’ story have headed straight for the theatrical. Until now. The first trailer for Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney’s forthcoming documentary Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine has now been released. Watch it below.

The trailer shows Jobs on stage announcing the iPhone, as well as archive footage and interviews which appear to discuss Job’s relationships to those around him, and his treatment of Apple employees.

However, some Apple staff that have been given access to the documentary have already expressed their dislike of the film – senior executive Eddy Cue described it on Twitter as “an inaccurate and mean-spirited view of my friend” and “not a reflection of the Steve I knew.”

The documentary will be released on the 4 September 2015, a full month before Boyle’s Steve Jobs. A trailer for that movie has already been released.
