What to read if you need a bit of peace today
Happy Christmas everyone! We hope you’re having a good one, but at some point the traditional festive fatigue is bound to set in. When that happens, the best thing to do is find a quiet corner and curl up with your iPhone or iPad.

If you’ve got a new enough device, now’s a good time to dive into the new Image Playground app included with iOS 18.2. Apple’s attempt at generative AI is far from perfect, but it’s fun to play around with creative prompts and see what it spits out.
Like to dig into a good thinker at Christmas? The new Monument Valley just came out, which is a beautifully slow-burning puzzle adventure. If you want something more cerebral, card game Balatro was probably our favorite mobile game this year, while A Little To The Left is a uniquely relaxing experience.
